designed this light weight jacket in a single color, to be knit in reverse stocking
stitch...as shown in dark purple. The sleeves were started on 4 double pointed
needles, or 2 circular cables, and then the body continues from the sleeve to
be knit sideways to the middle of the back. Then a matching second side is knit.
When we started knitting this in colored stripes, our idea was to make the jacket
totally reversible. This is possible but not very easy! We eventually decided
to knit them in stocking stitch as the color changes require frequent weaving
in of ends. They are lovely, and light weight since they require just one color
at a time. A Trio Kit can make a jacket, stole or scarf, and a hat or if the
jackets are smaller it will make 2 jackets.
